Ilchi Lee, the South Korean author described Sedona this way: “Sedona is a place of infinite creation in your heart, your greatest dream, and the most sacred moments of your life. And it is the power of your choice to choose hope even in the most difficult moments.”
While living in Phoenix, AZ, I had heard of this little town in the red mountains. Everyone talked about it as a special place where you could feel your spirit grow. That sounded really nice to me and intriguing at the same time. I wanted to visit it!

The road trip took just a couple of hours north from Phoenix, I need to mention there was a magnificent view even from far away from it. The nearer we got, the more I felt I had become part of a film in Yavin (also known as “Yavin Prime”, to distinguish it from its moons), the fictional planet in the Star Wars galaxy. The ground in the Valley of Phoenix is very dry, therefore the predominant colour is yellow. Sedona’s colour is different: red-orange with a beautiful green vegetation.

This colour of the mountains is incredibly attractive. The feeling is strong and that is when the magic happens. You forget about everything and start feeling you really are in a different world, where anything is possible and worries can be left behind.
Sedona is a small town, with almost ten thousand inhabitants. There are many tourists though, looking for its holistic characteristics. There are many tiny shops with souvenirs, there are resorts and there is something which makes it even more special: 7 energy vortexes where the subtle energy that exists at these locations interacts with the subtle body energy belonging to each visitor. The energy vibrates within and emphasizes the inner being of each person. I must add that scientists do not agree with this but…each person is free to agree or disagree with anything.

It is also well known for the many UFO sightings in the area. I was only there for a few hours, during daylight and unfortunately, did not see any alien spaceship. I have to admit I would have loved to see one! I am a very curious person and since I was a little girl I always looked up the sky at night looking for an unusual object.
Due to the dry climate conditions, you can have an amazing view of the stars. While watching them you may lose record of time and also feel stars are nearer, so much, that you can stand on tiptoe and be able to touch them. Wouldn’t you like to experience that feeling?

Each of us, during our life meet at least one person with the same qualities as Sedona. Those who fill you with positive energy, who touch your heart and help you live your greatest dream. Those who stand by you allowing you make your own choices and giving you hope in the most difficult moments. When you meet that person, you have found a treasure!
Last, but not least, a pic of my hubby and me!
