A drawing of ballet pointe shoes, like a dancer's dreaming heart, rests elegantly on a flat surface, depicted in shades of brown and beige. They capture the essence of a shining star in the world of dance.

Chasing dreams, spreading light

Indian author Amit Ray said, “It doesn’t matter how long you live, how much money you’ve made, or how much attention you’ve received. What matters is the amount of vibration you’ve radiated during your life.”

And I couldn’t agree more! It’s so interesting to meet a person with a meaningful life! They are like stars, full of energy and sharing their bright light with others, leaving their personal touch on the lives of those they come across. Obviously, we also come across those who are the opposite. And it allows us to reflect on all the positive things that have happened to us, and there are certainly many things. This leads us to change our perspective on life, changing it to be meaningful, like never before.

There are many examples to consider, such as Randy Paush, who was a professor of computer science, human-computer interaction, and design. He came to fulfil several of his childhood dreams. He not only enjoyed the things in life, but he also wanted to be able to create them, create things that he loved. When he was 6 years old, instead of just enjoying Disneyland, he said that he “wanted to do things like that.” We need to create our path in life, this will make our dreams come true.

I have always been a dreamer. Give me 10 minutes to sleep and I will have a dream like that to tell you! Unbelievable but true! I think it is important to dream in our life, dream big, about our goals. They are the reason for our happiness when we wake up every morning. We want to get up and go for them. If we do what we like, we will enjoy our life more, making it more meaningful. Although sometimes achieving our goals or dreams is not easy, during the process we learn to be more patient and more determined.

I always liked to draw and one day my husband surprised me with several acrylic paintings: “They are for you to make your dream of being an artist a reality, you are good at drawing, I guess you will be just as good at painting.” And so it is that for a few years now I have been painting, when I have time… when I don’t, I find time to be among the brushes or looking for some idea to capture on the canvas. I have come across well-known artists from Arizona, and from the North East of England like Ken Devine (https://www.kendevineart.com/bio) also Hazel Millington (https://hazelmillington.com/) . According to them, I have talent! According to me, I still have a looooong way to go. My talent is a baby talent. It needs time, practice, and many more steps!

A brown jug and several red apples are arranged on a white draped surface, with a gray background that resembles the calm before dreaming under a shining star.

We never know if, sooner or later, our childhood dreams will come true. If yours have not yet come true, just think about what you should do to create them and make them come true. In the end, it won’t matter how long you live, how much money you have made, or how much attention you have received. You will feel that you have had a meaningful life by being like a star, positively touching the lives of the people you have come across, sharing your own light.

Painting of two vases, one tall and upright in beige and another smaller, lying on its side in pink. The background, like a dreaming canvas, blends warm yellow and cool blue tones, capturing the essence of a shining star softly illuminating its vibrant surroundings.
Painting of a window with blue shutters on a yellow brick wall, where potted flowers adorn the sill and a cascade of pink blossoms dreams under sunlight like a shining star.

Now it is your turn, dear reader, to give your opinion about my paintings in this post, the ones I create to radiate any positive vibration in the eye of the beholder. Can’t wait for your comments!!
